One of the key distinguishing elements of the Specialty Coffee market is the focus placed on importance of traceability.

It is essential to provide the end customer with full background information on the coffee they are consuming — who produced it and how it was processed.

In this workshop we invite you to deepen your knowledge on the history of the coffee plant, the countries of origin and the production processes along with a gustative cupping. The objective of this workshop is to provide basic information about the coffee plant as well as the essentials to prepare a Brazilian cupping and compare the different cup profiles.

The working groups will be small (maximum 4 people) and the courses will be organised on demand. The workshop will have a duration of 3 hours.

The contents of the course are:
  1. A brief history of coffee
  2. Species
  3. Culture
  4. Process Types
  5. Brief explanation of the importance of tasting
  6. Comparative cupping of different origins and processes
