As we do every year at this time, we celebrate Christmas coffee and after-dinner conversations with you. Alongside our classic Christmas Blend, we have roasted small batches of exceptional origin, selected by our tasters for their complex flavour and aroma in the cup.
In this selection, you will find the farms of Oralia Castañón Morales and Samaria López, located in Chiapas, Mexico, brought to us by Jesús Salazar and his project ‘Cafeólogo’. We are also delighted to feature, once again this year, the work of Wilton Benítez and the La Macarena and Paraíso 92 farms: Colombian coffee at its finest. In addition, we will taste coffees from Panama by the Hartmann Family, Ethiopia by Soko Coffee and El Salvador by Finca Miramar.
These coffees, of the SL28, Pink Bourbon, Geisha and Bourbon Honey varieties, have been produced by extraordinary coffee growers, and we invite you to discover them at our now classic Christmas open tasting: MagTast. Without a doubt, it is a sensory experience that will take you back to the origins of coffee, teach you about its history and allow you to celebrate together what makes it unique.
The tasting will take place on Saturday, 20 December 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at the El Magnífico Coffee Lab, located at 64 Argenteria Street in Barcelona.

Who to give the Christmas open tasting to: MagTast
Giving the MagTast Christmas open tasting as a gift is certainly a perfect idea. It is ideal for those who enjoy discovering new flavours and want to understand what goes into making a good cup of coffee. It is therefore ideal for specialty coffee lovers. However, it is also a good option for those who are new to this world and want to learn to distinguish nuances, aromas and textures.
Similarly, it is an original gift for couples, friends, or family members who value shared experiences and are looking for something different from material gifts. A morning at MagTast becomes an opportunity to enjoy, learn, and connect with a community that loves coffee as much as you do.
The MagTast experience and the work behind every cup
Every detail of MagTast is carefully designed to offer a complete experience. Behind its preparation lies rigorous selection, tasting and control work that guarantees that the coffees presented are of the highest quality.
In 2018, Claudia took on the responsibility of leading the Quality Control department. Her main task is to select coffees based on sample roasting, tasting and subsequent selection. Coordinating the quality control team also involves developing control protocols, flavour profiles based on roasting and sensory training.
Claudia is a curious person who is aware of the importance of training in order to meet the business standards demanded by today’s speciality coffee world. That is why she attended the first Sensory Summit organised by the SCA in Europe, graduated from the Q Processing Generalist course at the Quality Coffee Institute, and served as a judge at Best of Cauca 2020, tasting the 40 best lots in the region. In June 2023, she participated as an observer in the Cup of Excellence in Costa Rica and obtained the title of International Judge for future COE competitions.
Their experience and dedication are reflected in every tasting we organise: from the selection of the origins to the way they are presented. Everything is designed so that visitors can enjoy an educational, sensory and deeply human experience.
