City Award from the Born Comerç Association to Cafés el Magnífico
In the long history of our company we have received several awards, but as they say it is difficult to be a prophet in your own land, so we are especially excited that the Born Comerç Association, which aims to revitalize the Born-La Ribera neighborhood and highlight the cultural, catering and commercial offer that characterizes it, has recognized our work.
The identification of Cafés el Magnífico with the Born-Ribera is complete since the store that gave rise to our company was located in the neighborhood in a distant 1919 and, today, three generations later we continue here with three stores being participants and spectators of exception of the evolution, change of the area, the city and society.
At the same time that our environment was being transformed, we have been pioneers and innovators transforming multiple aspects difficult to summarize in these brief lines, but among the main milestones we can mention the import of fine coffees; the opening of the store that serves gourmets and restaurants of reference; opening a store selling specialty teas. Being active participants in multiple directives related to our sector; creators of the “Coffee Cultural Forum” and active tasting jurors of the “Cup of Excellence” contest whose objective is to promote the best coffee growers and coffees.
But our best kept secret is to roast coffee with the enthusiasm of the first day, to know the product intrinsically and to remain open to learn and innovate.
Many of our customers have been with us for several generations, serving them and being part of their home with our coffee is one more way of making city and neighborhood. For all these reasons we are proud that the Born Comerç Association considers us worthy of the “City” award, which recognizes the trajectory of those companies that have contributed to the development and positioning of the Born and the city of Barcelona, as well as to its projection.
