The new establishment brings together the best of both worlds: the excellence of specialty coffee roasted by Cafés El Magnífico and the sensory universe of tea selected by Sans & Sans. The shop was created with a very clear mission: to bring customers a high-quality, fresh, bulk product backed by decades of expertise.
Since its inception, Cafés El Magnífico has maintained an unwavering commitment to coffee in its purest form: the sale of bulk coffee. This identity is, in fact, our greatest differentiating factor: we are roasters specialising in the sale of coffee beans. Our work begins at the source, continues with daily roasting and culminates in direct conversation with the customer, advising them on varieties, methods and profiles.
In the Rambla Catalunya shop, this spirit is evident from the moment you walk in. Visitors will find the house classics—the coffees that have marked the brand’s history—alongside a monthly selection that reflects our constant curiosity to discover new origins and exceptional batches.
A unique experience thanks to La Marzocco’s Modbar Pour-Over
The big news that sets this new space apart is the addition of La Marzocco’s Pour-Over Modbar, a revolutionary extraction system that we are the first to install in Barcelona. This is a milestone for both the brand and the city.
This Pour-Over 2.0 allows filter coffees to be prepared with extraordinary precision and consistency, ensuring that each cup clearly expresses the aromatic and flavour complexity of each origin. But beyond the technical aspects, the Modbar completely transforms the interaction between barista and customer.
Its integrated design eliminates the visual barriers typical of traditional equipment: baristas and visitors share space, conversation and ritual. The decision to install this system stems from our desire to allow customers to sample most of the coffees we offer for sale and to strengthen the bond that has always been essential to us.
It is an invitation to stop, ask questions, observe and discover. To enjoy a filter coffee prepared with calm, attention and transparency.
Sans & Sans: the world of tea joins the experience
The new establishment also incorporates a space dedicated to Sans & Sans, the Barcelona-based company that has specialised in tea since 1993. Historically located on Carrer Argenteria, and since 2018 also present at L’Illa Diagonal, Sans & Sans stands out for its team of tasters and its meticulous selection of teas from prestigious gardens and emblematic origins.
With a history marked by curiosity and the continuous pursuit of innovation, Sans & Sans pioneered the introduction of pyramid nylon tea bags in 2003 and the creation of a Tea Bar in 2018, a format that invites customers to taste and explore different tea profiles.
Among its most notable offerings is the Atelier Collection, a carefully curated selection of pure, flavoured teas and herbal teas in biodegradable soilon tea bags. Each of these products embodies the brand’s vision: tea as a small everyday luxury, capable of offering well-being, calm and a complete sensory experience.
